Through the Grey Skies

A child was sitting on the park bench, next to a man.  The child said "Isn't it bad to be an adult?"  He frowned then asked, "Why is it bad?"  the child replied, "You have to work hard to get something while I just have to cry to get everything." (Ns)

When I Wish Upon the Dream

Her chatters filled the room, stories exaggerated. Heart thumping. Started to look down at her phone that bleeped. Someone told her bad news but wasn't that bad for anyone else. Her chest tightened.
